The United States Supreme Court won't hear Brendan Dassey's appeal.

Speaking to E!, Dassey's attorney Laura Nirider said that she and her team will 'continue to fight to free Dassey.'

Back in 2005, Brendan's uncle Steven Avery was arrested for Teresa Halbach, a photographer from Wisconsin. Following several interviews and interrogations, Brendan confessed and told investigators that he assisted in the murder.

Nirider told E! that Brendan had 'intellectual and social disabilities' when he confessed to the crime.

The case was followed on hit Netflix documentary series Making A Murderer.

Brendan was convicted of rape, murder and mutilation of a corpse and was sentenced to life in prison back in 2007.

In 2016, his conviction was overturned. The New York Times reported that a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit upheld the ruling last June. After a full panel heard an appeal, the court ruled his confession had not been coerced.
