It's been a night of tragedy on the roads, with two pedestrians dying in separate incidents.
A 62 year-old man died in County Longford after being hit by a car last night.
It occurred at around 7pm last night, after he was hit by a car near Aughnacliffe.
His body was taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital for a post mortem, while the 44 year old female driver of the car was uninjured.
Meanwhile, a 46 year-old man was hit by a car in Armagh in the early hours of this morning.
This incident took place shortly after 5am.
Both the Gardaí and the PSNI are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
