The Road Safety Authority is warning roads users to be extra careful over the bank holiday weekend.

The RSA says motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable. Sunday is officially the worst day of the week for bikers deaths on our roads.

Chief Executive of the RSA, Moya Murdock, is appealing to motorcyclists to avoid taking extra risks: "This year we have seen a number of bikers killed five out of seven those motorcyclists were killed on a Sunday, so clearly there is an issue. Their a very vulnerable road user they do enjoy the thrill of the bike it is a risky activity."
