We've known about the heatwave for the last couple of weeks but we now have the forecast that temperatures will hit 30 degrees in parts of the country today.
Dublin won't quite those temperatures, with the West and the Midlands expected to get the best of the hot weather.
It's not too bad in Dublin though, with highs of around 26 degrees in some places around the capital.
A yellow weather warning for hot weather is currently in place until Friday, so enjoy the sun while you can but make sure you have the factor 50 at the ready.
