Over 5000 secondary school students are attending an event which highlights employment opportunities through apprenticeships today and tomorrow.
School Summit 2018 gives students a chance to engage with companies on possible apprenticeships.
There are more than 70 exhibitors, across a variety of sectors, making presentations to pupils from across the country.
Minister for Education Richard Bruton commented on the event:
“There are a number of pathways to further your education, whether you choose third level, a post leaving certificate course, or the apprenticeship and trainee-ship routes."
"This School Summit is a great opportunity for you to explore the different options available to you.”
The summit runs until tomorrow at the National Show Centre in Swords, Co. Dublin.
