Ryanair has announced plans today to charge passengers with carry-on luggage.

From November, standard fare customers will have to pay 8 euro for a second bag, while priority passengers will be unaffected.

Standard fare customers are only permitted to bring on a small hand bag or backpack, anything else will incur the new baggage free.

At present only 92 passengers per plane can book priority boarding and Ryanair says that rule will remain in place, so all other passengers will have no option but to pay the new baggage fee.
