The woman who stepped in front of the cameras on Russian State TV with an anti war protest sign says she's not scared of what might happen.

Marina Ovsyannikova was charged with holding an 'unauthorised public event' and was fined about 275 euro, however may face further punishment.

The Russian Government has recently passed a law allowing courts to imprison people for up to 15 years for disrupting propoganda.

Marina told CNN that her future is still uncertain.

This comes as Putin has labelled those who are anti-war within Russia as traitors.

At the moment it is an administrative offence which is a minor offence in Russian law but there is now a criminal investigation underway against Ovsyannikova.

This means that further criminal charges may be brought against the anti-war activist as a means to subdue her stance on the Ukraine invasion.
