You may have spotted the Christmas street lights popping up around town and been wondering when is this year's switch on date but unfortunately Dublin isn't getting one.
The Dublin At Christmas Facebook page shared an update confirming, 'There is no official switch on event this year.'
The lights will instead be lit up without an event by early November.
Lots of people in the comments section seemed disappointed with the decision with one person referring to it as, 'the biggest let down of the year'.
Meanwhile, the rest of the city centre is starting to look very festival.
Brown Thomas have already had their Christmas window display up over a week.
