A man in his 20's who was seriously injured in a hit and run collision at Hazelwood Drive on Wednesday has died at Beaumont Hospital.
A 30 year old man is currently assisting Gardaí with their investigations at Coolock Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who may have observed a white coloured Renault Megane van in the Coolock area prior to the collision to come forward.
The man was struck by a vehicle while out jogging and a short time later it was discovered burnt out at Beechlawn Grove, Coolock close to Parnell's GAA Club.
It has been seized for a technical examination.
