Major changes are being proposed for Dublin Bus to tackle the city’s chronic traffic problems.
A new report suggests increasing bus services by 27% and changing the numbers on buses to letters. Plans for 11 brand new routes which will operate every 15 minutes or more will be introduced.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) says the changes will result in more people being able to access frequent services, but it will represent a “huge change” for passengers.
It also proposes introducing a two-fare system which would allow commuters to also use the Dart and Luas with their bus ticket.
