The pair will meet in the octagon on October 6th, but the war of words kicked off last Thursday evening at a press conference in New York.

Accroding to Conor McGregor's opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Dubliner needs to cut out the bad language and be a better example for young people.

The Russian's comments come after an expletive filled press conference in which The Notorious mocked the Russian fighter's accent and accused him of disrespecting Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to TMZ, Nurmagomedov said:

"Too many young guys follow us, follow him, follow me and I don't want to be a bad example."

"We cannot be bad people for the younger generation."

"Of course you try and promote this fight and make money, but at the end of the day, you have to think about the younger genertation."
