It's no secret that promoter Eddie Hearn has been pushing Katie Taylor to the moon lately.

She has appeared on the undercard of several high-profile bouts in an attempt to establish her as the next star of women's boxing.

She's since gone 4-0 in her professional career, after she beat former title challenger Milena Koleva by unanimous decision last Saturday.

There's been talk a world title fight would come her way sooner rather than later, and now it seems Eddie Hearn wants it to happen.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, Hearn said: "It was really important to get eight rounds under the belt (ahead of a) title fight.

"I think she wants to feel confident enough to move to a world title fight. There's not going to be many opportunities to fight in eight- and 10-rounders because we're boxing her everywhere."

When asked where a possible world title fight would take place, Hearn was left in no doubt where he wanted it to be:

"Ireland is realistic for her first world title [fight], but I think she needs to go and have a fight in America after Wembley."

Taylor is expected to feature on the undercard to the clash of Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko, which takes place at Wembley Arena in a few short weeks time.
