The character of Jamal played by Jussie Smollett is no more
US actor Jussie Smollett's character Jamal will not appear in the final two episodes of Empire.
He has denied claims by Chicago Police that he staged a racist and homophobic assault on himself.
The Fox show says although they care deeply about Jussie, the allegations are very disturbing and they want to avoid further disruption for their other actors on set.
