It's the talk of the fighting world at the moment. Will Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather actually fight after nearly a year of teasing us?

At a press event before Christmas in Manchester, the Dubliner said that his next bout will be against the boxing champion this year, however three months later and we're still no closer to getting an answer about this much anticipated bout.

Speaking on his podcast, pundit Joe Rogan reckons the fight will never happen because it doesn't make sense financially for either of the parties involved. Joe, in fact points out that the Notorious would make more money if he was to fight Nate Diaz again.

The reason being, the money would have the be divided between Conor, Floyd and the UFC which would depreciate the value of the game. The fight would of course have a huge pick-up all over the world, due to pay-per-view rights and the general commercialisation of the event, but he reckons that all parties involved will only do this if the 'numbers add up'

Joe also went on to say, that instead of focusing on this potential bout with Mayweather, Conor should focus his time and attention into his next UFC encounter, which has the potential to make him the most famous athlete in the world.

See what Rogan has to say about the developing McGregor saga in the video below.
