Irish citizens planning to leave the area of Indonesia struck by a powerful earthquake are being given support.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's working through its embassy in Jakarta.

Around 100 people have been killed after the tremor struck the holiday island, Lombok.

Rescuers say the number of deaths will "definitely increase" and search teams are trying to reach areas which are cut-off.
