Gardaí are appealing for information following a cash in transit robbery in Dublin.

It happened at Killiney Shopping Centre at around 10:30am yesterday morning.

Two men were involved in the robbery - the first threatened a security van driver with what was described as a handgun.

He demanded cash while an accomplice waited in a silver Nissan Micra nearby.

No shots were fired and no one was injured. The culprits made off with an undisclosed sum of cash in the direction of the M50.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to contact them at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station or on the Garda Confidential Line.
