Enda Kenny said in the Dáil this afternoon, that he has once again written to the President of Egypt.
The Taoiseach has urged him to release the Dubliner on humanitarian grounds.
This appeal comes as an Irish doctor visited where Ibrahim is in hospital.
According to Ibrahim's family, he fell unconscious over the weekend.
He was rushed to hospital, with symptoms that didn't match those of a hunger strike.
This afternoon Enda Kenny said that he could not reveal the details of his medical report - but did state that its findings were serious.
