Mourners at Emma Mhic Mhathuna's funeral have been told she was a force for good in life.

Fr. Paddy Moran said we should be thankful of the gifts Emma gave to the entire nation such as courage and strength at the funeral mass in the Pro Cathedral.

The 37 year old mother of five will be laid to rest in Maynooth later after the funeral mass.

Ms. Mhic Mhathúna was the 21st of the 211 women affected by the Cervical Check scandal to die.

The funeral procession will pass the Dáil, Government Buildings and the Department of Health this afternoon.
