The phrase 'Fake News' was probably the most used term during Donald Trump's press conference last night in the White House.

The US President gathered press from all over the world for the impromptu event at the White House, after what has been a busy four weeks for the new Commander in Chief of the United States. There was a lot of talking points from last night, which included his Electoral College margin victory and his administrations connection with Russia.

Beforehand, there was speculated this event was planned to build bridges between the President and the media, after his recent twitter outbursts. However that wasn't the case, Trump attacked a number journalists last night for their reporting of his campaign and his role as a leader.

After dodging questions from a number of high profiled organisations, one NBC reporter was quick to put Trump back in his box by correcting some of the untrue facts he'd used during the conference. The Republican claimed he had the highest ever Electoral College vote since Reagan, which was untrue as both Barack Obama and George Bush Senior received more votes than Trump.

He also blasted CNN, The New York Times and the BBC - have a look at some of the highlights below.
