Abused chicken
An animal charity has had to rescue a chicken that was allegedly being used as a football in Co Waterford.
On Monday night Waterford Animal Welfare was called to the scene by gardaí in the city centre.
When volunteers found the bird they realised its wings had been clipped.
The chicken was humanly put to sleep by a vet due to the extent of its injuries.
