Ant McPartlin appeared in court this afternoon. He pleaded guilty to a drink driving offence at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court. The hearing was initially due to take place on April 4th, but it was adjourned to this later date.

The court heard that the breathalyser reading for Ant was 75mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg, meaning that Ant was over twice the legal limit.

According to Sky News the Judge has considered his weekly income of £130,000 to decide his fine.

Ant is to face an £86,000 fine, £85 prosecution fee and £170 surcharge.

Ant has been banned from driving for 20 months. He has requested to do a drink driving course which would reduce it to 15 months.
