A recent UNICEF report shows Ireland has the fourth highest rate of suicide amongst teenagers in Europe.

Fine Gael's Catherine Noone is urging the HSE to develop an eMental Health app for under 18's.

The service currently provides two for over 18's Turn2me and MyMind.ie.

Senator Noone is asking for a national platform specifically for teens which could be promoted in all post-primary schools in the country.

She says:

"What I'm calling for is a safe and secure platform for teens to access online for psychology services so currently two apps exist for those over 18 but clearly there's a need for those under 18."
