Love taking selfies? Well, now you can help fight cancer by taking one!

With one in two people living in Ireland being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, three leading Irish cancer charities are now working together this World Cancer Day on February 4th.

Face Up To Cancer is fundraising to invest in research on a range of cancers, including breast, lung, pancreatic and ovarian. It’ll also provide on the ground support to those living with cancer and their families.

All you’ve got to do is upload a selfie or a picture of a loved one to the Face Up To Cancer website and make a donation of €10 (or your preferred amount) to the campaign.

Once your donation has been made, your selfie will be used to create mosaics which will show the faces of people both affected by cancer and research experts who are working to improve cancer care and treatments.

Plus, you’ll get a digital copy of your selfie back with a special Face Up To Cancer branded ‘frame’ which you can share with the #FaceUpToCancer and #DonateASelfieSaveLives hashtags, helping to encourage others to do the same.

This is the first time ever that Breast Cancer Ireland, the Marie Keating Foundation and Breakthrough Cancer Research are working together in a unique, digitally led charity fundraising campaign.
