Deliveroo is turning 10 in Ireland!
To celebrate the milestone, the delivery app has teamed up with local legends, DASH Burger, to create a limited edition treat called the “Irish Coffee Birthday Smash”, paying homage to the Emerald Isle.
The lip-smacking ‘Irish Coffee Birthday Smash’, exclusively available on Deliveroo, will not only pay homage to Ireland’s foodie heritage but will also visually resemble its namesake, promising to offer a quirky twist on the flavours and ingredients you’d expect from the coffee-and-whiskey-based hot drink.
The birthday smash is a one-of-a-kind creation from DASH Burger featuring four distinct-tasting flavours and coloured layers, including crispy-edged 100% Irish aged beef DASH Double smash patty, topped with a smooth Cashel ‘Teal blue’ Cheese whip resembling white coffee foam - giving a playful nod to Deliveroos’ signature brand colours, a palate-perking Irish coffee BBQ sauce made with Dublin’s own Teeling Whiskey and a specially selected espresso from Proper Order Dublin Coffee Roasters, finished off with a layer of crispy Clonakilty Blackpudding crumb for added crunch - all sandwiched between freshly baked burger bun.
The ‘Irish Coffee Birthday Smash’ took local owner Barry Wallace over a month to develop the burgers' perfect combination of locally sourced ingredients and a balance of flavours.
To celebrate the 10th birthday milestone 500 lucky Deliveroo customers, can get their hands on a limited edition ‘Irish Coffee Birthday Smash’ for just ten cents (€0.10) between Tuesday 29th April - Friday 2nd May 2025 from 2-6 pm at DASH Burger Capel Street and Kevin Street Lower (available to order only on Deliveroo during these dates and times).
The creation of the limited edition DASH birthday burger takes inspiration from the Irish Coffee, which originated in Foynes in Co. Limerick in 1943 and the nation's decade-long love affair with the burger, as Deliveroo reveals that burgers and American food has consistently been the most popular cuisines ordered in Ireland since the app’s launch in 2015. The first ever order on the app was a cheeseburger at 1.41 pm on the 30th March 2015 in Dublin.
