Following last year’s success, much-loved South Dublin gastropub Brickyard is excited to announce the return of its vibrant three-day Cinco de Mayo celebration. Taking place from Friday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 5th, the event honours Mexican heritage and cuisine — marking Mexico’s 1862 victory in the Battle of Puebla — and brings that spirit to life with flavourful dishes, cocktails, and community fun.

The festivities will run all weekend, featuring all-day brunch, vibrant Mexican street food specials, and tequila-fuelled toasts:

  • Saturday & Sunday (May 3rd & 4th): 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Monday (May 5th): 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

On the Menu:

Brickyard’s kitchen will be serving up bold, flavour-packed Mexican favourites throughout the weekend. Highlights include:

Huevos Rancheros – Two eggs simmered in spicy tomato sauce with pinto beans, spicy chorizo, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Topped with crispy tortilla chips — messy, satisfying, and bursting with flavour.

Baja Fish Tacos – Crispy beer-battered hake in warm corn tortillas, loaded with crunchy cabbage, homemade guacamole, and smoky chipotle mayo. Light, fresh, and addictive.

To Drink:

Moonshine Margarita – An Irish twist on the classic. Mad March Hare Poitín, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup — dangerously smooth and seriously delicious.

As always, Brickyard will also be pouring a premium selection of tequilas and mezcals, including Clase Azul Reposado and Don Julio El Cielo — for those who want to see what real tequila tastes like.
