The warmer weather always makes everyone ice cream crazy.

Once the sun comes out we're all off to our local spot to satisfy our summer craving.

There's so many great spots around Dublin offering everything from classic 99s to very fancy flavours and sundaes.

Here's a list of some of our favourites we think are worth checking out.

Teddy’s

An absolute must-have on any trip to Dun Laoghaire.

This iconic Dublin shop has been serving up classic 99s since 1950.

They're experts at the whipped ice cream, cone and flake, with optional sauce and sprinkles for the adventurous ones!

There's also great news for 99 lovers as Teddy's has found it's first home in the city centre.

Eatyard has added the famous ice cream to it's list of vendors, located just beside the Bernard Shaw pub on South Richmond Street.

Gino’s

Gino's has been in business since 2008.

They specialise in gelato and have developed their product over 40 years and generations of family.

Their gelato is lower in fat than ice cream and they have an amazing selection of flavours.

Some of our favourite picks are cheesecake, Ferrero Rocher and Snickers.

They also have vegan options available!

Scrumdiddly's

Scrumdiddly's caused mayhem upon it's opening in Dublin.

People have queued for hours for a taste of their unique sundaes and decadent desserts.

They're located in Dun Laoghaire and Donabate and also have plans to franchise this year.

Some of our favourite menu items are the Bueno Waffle Cone, The Melting Snowman and Scrum-fiteroles.

Their Instagram is full of mouth-watering pictures!

Murphy’s Ice Cream

Murphy's are all about natural, locally sourced ice cream.

Originating in Dingle, they now have a parlour on Wicklow Street, just off Grafton.

Fresh farm milk, local cream, free range eggs and organic sugar make up the base of their creations.

Their aim is to make memorable flavours that put a smile on your face.

We recommend the Caramelised Brown Bread, Caramel Honeycomb or Irish rainwater raspberry sorbet.

Three Twenty Ice Cream Lab

Dublin's first liquid nitrogen ice cream shop has arrived on Drury Street.

Three Twenty brings back traditional Ice Cream in a style not seen here before.

Organic anglaise that's local and organic is the basis of their unique ice creams.

They use a liquid nitrogen method which means the product is rapidly frozen which results on less ice crystals and air.

It makes their seasonally flavoured ice cream richer, creamier and denser.
