5th April 2020. The Pussycat Dolls are coming to Dublin.

It's been 10 years since we last saw the Pussycat Dolls. A whole decade.

But the girl group are reuniting for a comeback tour next April across the UK and Ireland.

They will play Dublin's 3Arena on Sunday, 5th April 2020.

Tickets for the gig will go onsale this Sunday, 1st Decemeber at 10am.

This Saturday will see the first performance of the girl group in almost a decade for a special performance on X Factor: Celebrity.

But there is one small change.

Former member, Melody Thornton, will not be joining them.

The now-five-piece band revealed the news this morning in an exclusive interview with Heart in the UK.

Lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger described the reunion in "two words - ma-jor", saying "the stars have aligned and the dolls are getting back together, and we're here to announce our reunion tour."

The American girl band and dance ensemble formed in 1995 as a a burlesque troupe, but went on to receive major international success.

Their debut album, PCD, which was released in 2005, sold more than 9 million copies worldwide. It included songs that went on to become their biggest hits around the world — Don’t Cha, Buttons, Stickwitu, Beep, I Don’t Need a Man and Wait a Minute.

When asked who's idea it was to get back together, Ashley Roberts revealed it was founder of the group, Robin Antin who had been pushing for the girls to reunite "for years".

The Pussycat Dolls will not stop with their performance on this weekend's X Factor: Celebrity finale though. While they are working on "new music and new surprises", there is already a tour planned for the group - and it looks Ireland may be included.

While there is no date for the show just yet, the tour will kick off in the UK in April 2020. Tickets for the UK leg will go on sale on December 1st.

No Melody Thornton?

Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberley Wyatt, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta are excited to get back together.. However, there will be an empty space on the stage where Melody Thornton once stood. She will not be joining the other five.

She had previously hinted at a reunion, and informed that she is still in touch with her fellow Dolls, stating “I love and respect my bandmates, so when the stars align.”

While saying that, she revealed that joining the group in 2003 after auditioning in front of Christina Aguilera and touring with The Pussycat Dolls until their split in 2010 played some detriment on her mental health.

No one knew it was going to be as successful as it was,” she said.

While the ex-member has not yet revealed a reason for dodging the reunion, she seems to be busy working on her own projects. She released a new single called Love Will Return. It is the first single from her upcoming EP.

However, the five-piece are just as excited for the reunion tour, claiming "we about the bring it, 2020. Next level".
