Serena Williams wore a 'superhero' catsuit for her first match following the birth of her daughter Alexis Jr in September. Serena beat Kristyna Pliskova 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 yesterday.
In February Serena revealed that she nearly died giving birth and said her superhero suit and said the catsuit was for practicality as well as style. The suit helps her with her issue of blood clots which nearly proved fatal in her pregnancy.
Serena said about the suit, “I feel like a warrior in it, like a warrior princess, kind of. I’m always living in a fantasy world. I always wanted to be a superhero, and it’s kind of my way of being a superhero. I feel like a super-hero when I wear it.”
