There's been a lot of celebrity breakups in Hollywood over the past year in particular, but, nothing prepared us for the ending of the friendship between Drake and Rihanna.
Rihanna is the cover star of the June edition of Vogue and she did an interview with the magazine's Chioma Nnadi and she chatted about her (now non-existent) relationship with Drake.
She simply said 'We don't have a friendship now, but we're not enemies either. It is what it is.'
It wasn't even two years ago that Drake joined Rihanna on stage at the MTV VMAs and presented her with the Vanguard Award and described her as 'someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old' and one of his 'best friends in the world.'
But, what went wrong?
Speaking about that gushy speech and night, Rihanna said 'The VMAs is such a fan-focussed awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal. Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don't like too many compliments; I don't like to be put on blast.'
Rihanna and Drake were said to be officially dating at the time of her acceptance for the award, however, things cooled off soon after.
She's currently dating billionaire businessman Hassan Jameel. Vogue report that when Rihanna was asked about Drake, the mere mention of his name made her wince. Yikes.
Does that mean we won't get any more bangers like this?
