It's been reported that Meghan Markle's father will not attend the royal wedding this Saturday.
According to reports from TMZ, Thomas checked himself into hospital on Tuesday after he was complaining of chest pains and underwent a series of tests. It's also claimed that he suffered a heart attack last week.
As a result of him being absent, it's likely that Meghan's mum Doria will walk her down the aisle at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
TMZ report that Thomas will undergo heart surgery on Wednesday.
It was previously claimed that he may not attend the wedding as he did not want to embarrass Meghan and the royal family, however, he had a change of heart after speaking with Meghan. He now realises that it's impossible he can attend now due to the upcoming surgery.
'I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I'd like to be a part of history.'
Kensington Palace never confirmed or denied his attendance, they simply asked for 'understanding' during this time.
