Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their third child via surrogate earlier this week.
Yesterday, Kim announced that the baby girl's name is Chicago West.

Now the meaning behind the name has been revealed.
According to E! News, Kanye wanted to pay homage to his hometown and his late mother, who died in 2007.
The also said Kim loves the nickname, and North is already calling her Chi.
