Lil Nas X hits back

Lil Nas X has hit back after he faced criticism for transforming into Nicki Minaj for Halloween.

Rappers Dave East and 50 Cent even made fun of him over the costume.

Nas shared two pictures from a photoshoot of himself posing as Nicki Minaj.

He captioned the tweet, 'NAS MARAJ !!!' alongside the painted nails emoji.

In fairness, he absolutely nailed the look.

The backlash

50 Cent retweeted his post and wrote, 'what the f**k, Nikki come get him !!! Lol'

According to MailOnline, Nas retweeted the rapper's reply and asked, 'why u in barb business.'

It appears the tweet has since been deleted.

Meanwhile, rapper Dave East tweeted a picture of Nas' Halloween look on Instagram Stories.

He wrote, 'And y'all was mad at me about this n***a.'

The phrase, 'batty man,' is a homophobic slur that originated from Jamaica.

According to Complex, Nas replied to East's comments in a since deleted tweet.

He said, 'It's 'batty man' n****s can't even be homophobic the proper way smh butchering the hell out of the patois.'

In another tweet, Nas wrote, 'bro i don’t bother a soul in this industry.'

'all i do is tweet and make bangers. leave me alone damn.'

The Old Town Road rapper also shared a meme, mocking his haters.

While the other simply says, 'lol he killed that.'

Nas shared one final tweet on the issue.

He wrote, 'It’s november 2nd and grown men are waking up to have group discussions about a costume i wore on halloween.'
