The first of the quarter final shows of the X Factor took place last night.

Two contestants were eliminated and it was the end of the road for the Irish.

Brothers Sean and Conor Price were voted out.

The Blessington pair failed to make it through to next week's semi-finals after getting the cut in the double elimination.

They performed Julia Michael's Issues and it was the first performance that Sean didn't use his guitar or rap.

The boys took to Twitter after the show to thank their fans.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who had supported us and voted for us during our X Factor journey!❌❤️ time to push on now👊💚</p>&mdash; Sean and Conor Price (@sean_conorprice) <a href="https://twitter.com/sean_conorprice/status/932027423545266178?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 18, 2017</a></blockquote>

Solo singer Sam Black also failed to make it through to next week.

Tonight's show will see the girls category versus the overs and two more contestants will be eliminated.
