When Hailey Baldwin and Shawn Mendes graced the red carpet of the Met Gala this year, the world thought it was the love-birds debuting their romance. However, that's not the case.
Since that night, both Shawn and Hailey have insisted that they are friends and nothing more, despite their fans shipping them together.
Speaking to The Times UK, Hailey has said that Shawn is amazing, but she's single. 'We hung out and he's super lovely and a very, very nice young gentleman. But I am single.'
The 21-year-old model admitted that the dating pool is 'small' and that it can be hard to find someone in the industry.
'It's rare to find somebody that has the same ideas and morals as me. I have found people like that before, though, which is refreshing.'
Not long after the Met Gala, Shawn also dismissed dating rumours to E! News.
'I am single. I was so lucky for my first time going there [Met Gala] to be able to go with someone like Hailey because she's such a vet and I really admire people like her because of how outgoing she is in such an overwhelming experience.'
