It was an emotional night for Frances McDormand last night and she didn't need someone to nick her Oscar.

McDormand's Academy Award for Best Actress was temporarily stolen at an Oscar after party last night.

The 60 year old was reportedly spotted crying outside of the Governors Ball when she noticed that her award had gone missing.

The thief was caught on camera by the chef's photographer while he was taken snaps of the food.

The 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' star was reunited with her statuette soon after.
