250 staff have lost their jobs at Ryanair offices in Dublin and three other European bases.

The cuts are due to the drop in demand because of Coronavirus.

Some of the jobs include staff on fixed term contracts and probation.

At the beginning of the month the firm said Covid-19 could lead to the loss of up to 3,000 staff.

Ryanair: Further Job Losses Expected

The airline says says it's operated less than 1% of it's ordinary schedule in recent months.

Only four in ten of it's normal flights will run through July.

People Director Darrell Hughes said:

"Further announcements on Ryanair crew job losses and pay cuts are expected before the end of May in the light of further and on-going flight restrictions”.
