After four years in the pipeline, the first-ever passengers are hopping on the new Luas Green Line around now.
Test runs have been ongoing since June - with pedestrians, cyclists and motorists urged to take extra care as trams return to some of the busiest streets in the city.
The new line was fully operational from 2 o'clock and was launched by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Minister for Transport Shane Ross and Minister for Finance Paschal Donohue.
The Green line has been extended from Stephen's Green to Cabra, and the 5.9km journey will take 21 minutes.
In total, there are 13 new stops and in total, the project has cost €368 million.
Operator Transdev expects to welcome an extra 10 million passengers a year.
