The "Up the Dubs" banner needs to find a new home.

The "Up the Dubs" banner supporting Dublin GAA will no longer be hung out of the capital's Ha'penny Bridge.

Following complaints, Dublin City Council has ruled the infamous structure shouldn't be covered.

Former Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Christy Burke, believes most people wouldn't agree:

“At the moment the Dublin football team are more popular than Jesus Christ."

"The decision to remove the banner from the Ha’penny Bridge is probably due to bitter Mayo or Kerry fans complaining."
