126 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In The Republic Of Ireland

126 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed today.

It brings the total number of covid 19 cases in the republic to 683.

Speaking at the daily briefing at the Department of Health, Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said it is too early to see the impact of the restrictions put in place in response to the outbreak.

He said the impact will become clearer at the end of the month.

He warned families that it is essential not to organise gatherings in the home this Mother’s Day weekend.

Impact of Covid-19

Rents are expected to plummet in cities across the country due to the impact of the coronavirus.

There has been a 64% increase in rental listings in Dublin since the start of the month, according to Daft.ie.

Thousands of AirBnB lettings are available online, with very few tourists arriving here to use them.
