Conor McGregor has revealed he has signed a deal with the UFC to fight Floyd Mayweather.

Negotiations surrounding the proposed super-fight have been rumbling on for months, but The Notorious made sure the ball was now in Mayweather's court.

Last week, UFC President Dana White said both parties were holding up a deal, but now it appears McGregor has reached a deal he's happy with.

Speaking to TheMacLife.com, McGregor said:

"It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management.

"The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved.

"We now await [Mayweather's advisor] Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days."
