A brand new animated movie with a star-studded lineup hits cinemas today (October 12).

Smallfoot follows the story of a yeti named Migo (Channing Tatum) whose world gets spun on its head, when he discovers something that he never believed existed - a human.

Desperate to make his village believe him, he embarks on a journey with the help of Meechee (Zendaya) and a few other believers, to help find the human "Smallfoot" and get back on the good side of the Stone Keeper (Common).

Ahead of the release, we caught up with Zendaya in London.

Speaking about her role, Zendaya revealed that it's a lot different to anything she's ever done.

"It's so fun, actually. It's much harder than I expected. I think people think 'animation must be easy? It's just your voice'. But because it requires so much energy, to convey whatever emotion you have just through your voice, you don't get to use the rest of your body, it takes a lot out of you."

Speaking about Smallfoot, Zendaya says there's a "lot of great messages" within it.

"To me it's just fun because it's able for the whole family to relate, enjoy and have a conversation and probably leave just happy and inspired which is the number one thing I think."

Smallfoot also stars Danny DeVito (Dorgle), James Corden (Smallfoot) and LeBron James (Gwanji).
