As the autumn draws in and the evenings getting darker, it's a great time of year to pack the snacks and squeeze in a family cinema night.

Whether it's laughs, action, comedy or magic you're looking for, here are some of the best family films out this autumn and winter:

Christopher Robin

This live-action take on Winnie the Pooh follows an adult Christopher Robin who bumps into his old friend and rediscovers the joys in life.

Smallfoot

This animated adventure is about a group of Yetis who try to find the mythical 'Smallfoot' creature AKA the humans. Ideal viewing when it's cold and miserable outside.

Release date: 12th October

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

Watch the spooky Halloween season unfold as the infamous R.L Stine books come to life in this comedy adventure film. Maybe leave the younger kids at home for this one!

The Grinch

Eighteen years after the original film starring Jim Carrey, The Grinch is back to steal Christmas in animated form. This film is made by the same guys that brought you Despicable Me and Sing so you know it's going to be good!

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

This is the second instalment of the Fantastic Beasts which is set in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. It follows the adventures of Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne and is a must for any fans of the Harry Potter films.
