Samira says goodbye
This afternoon, the news broke that Samira has left the Love Island villa. She made the decision to leave following Frankie's eviction earlier in the week. Since he left, she's been feeling sad and missing him a lot.
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Samira says 'This decision is so, so hard. I’m devastated by it. But I think that it is the right thing to do. Just follow my heart because I’ve never done that before I’ve always taken the back seat and now I need to go for it head on and leave and just go for Frankie… I’ve got to go with my gut feeling.'
She tells her fellow islanders, and they're all clearly gutted but respect her decision. After emotional goodbyes, Samira leaves to a big round of applause.
There's a recoupling on the way
The dust never settles in the Love Island villa for too long. Being the new girl, Alexandra has a big decision to make - who will she choose?
In the Beach Hut, Kieran says: “For me it was nice to get Alexandra to open up and have a little chat with me. I do find her attractive… It’ll be nice if we can maybe eventually couple up. Things move quickly in here so we’ll see how things proceed.”
Later, Alex is having a chat with Alexandra.
She tells him: “You’re so great because the place that I’ve grown up, the people that I’ve been around, your sense of humour I just get it. You make me laugh so much.”Alex tells her: “It’s difficult for me because I want to show you that I’m interested but at the same time I don’t want to smother you, I don’t want to make you feel like you can’t talk to other people because I think you should get to know every guy who is single in the villa.”
She tells him: “You are a bloody great guy. I need to make sure that within my heart that is how I feel also and I know you respect that. I am so protective over you and I want you to be yourself and I want you to feel relaxed around me and I want to feel relaxed around you because I feel like that’s the only way that something may possibly progress. Idris made me feel so at ease, we found out we have common interests.”
