Congratulations, you've officially finished the Leaving Cert!
Just under 60,ooo of you received your results this morning, but now what?
Here's our step-by-step guide for what to do now it's all behind you!
Calculate your points
First things first, calculate your points.
Your Leaving Cert examination paper will give you a letter and a number indicating how you scored per subject, eg. H1 - H8 or O1 - O8.
These results correspond to a certain amount of points.

CAO
Class of 2019, you're lucky!
Unlike previous years you won't have to wait weeks for your college offers.
This year's round one CAO offers are out at 2pm on Thursday, August 15th.
The offers will be made online at CAO.ie
You will use your application number to log on and see what college courses are available for you to accept.
What you're offered is based on the CAO form you filled out combined with how many points you received this morning.
Decision making
You'll now have a decision to make.
If you have received an offer you can either accept it or defer it.
To accept an offer you must do this via the CAO website by the date given with your offer.
To defer a place you must contact the relevant college's admission office by letter or email.

If you haven't received an offer, or an offer you're happy with don't worry.
There are lots of options and routes into your desired course.
The CAO will continue to offer places to students until all college courses are filled.
Relax & Celebrate
The whole Leaving Cert process can be really overwhelming.
The most important thing that you can do now is relax!
If you're heading out to celebrate, it's important to remember to drink responsibly.
Keep in mind that if you're over tired or feeling down about your results, alcohol may have a negative effect.

Once the big night out is out of the way get a good sleep!
You may have a big decision to make on Thursday and a well-rested mind will help with this.
Most importantly, be very proud of yourself because the hard work is finally over!
