Guinness Open Gate Brewery Blends Style, Beats, and Experimental Brews This Summer
With the sun shining and long summer evenings set to continue, Dubliners looking for the ultimate open-air spot to add to their summer plans need look no further. This July and August, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery is transforming its historic Dublin 8 courtyard into a bustling backyard, welcoming everyone through the gates for ‘Good Things Brewing’; a series of sun-soaked weekend takeovers filled with live music, style, wood-fired bites, and exclusive experimental brews.
Taking place across three weekends in July and August, get your friends together for an elevated evening and experience:
- Experimental Summer Tastings: Be the first to try limited-edition, hyper-local summer brews crafted on-site. The rotating taps will feature refreshing, experimental pours including a summery Cherry Sour, a Liberties-exclusive Batch Bread Red Ale and a Pickle Sour, for those who like something different.
- Courtyard Beats: Elevating the summer atmosphere, the courtyard will feature a lineup of local Dublin DJs across the three weekends, like RJ the DJ, Malo and Derv, among others, providing the perfect soundtrack to accompany long, warm evenings.
- Local Art & Style Customisation: In an exciting collaboration with Dublin-based Good Shout Studio, visitors can bring in their own favourite jersey (or purchase one on site) or any garment from home to have it personalised. The jerseys can be customised with bespoke Guinness typography and exclusive illustrations, celebrating the intersection of local sports culture and design. Local stylists and designers Tobi Balogun and the Branded Royal team will also be on site for a live upcycling experience from July 23rd – July 26th.
