Zendaya chats to SPIN about success

SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo caught up with Hollywood megastar Zendaya this week.

The actress has been promoting her new Netflix movie Malcolm & Marie, which drops this Friday.

Malcolm & Marie

The 24-year-old spoke about success in the entertainment industry.

It's after Sarina quoted the following line from her character in the movie:

"Life is going to get easier but it will also get harder."

Sarina asked Zendaya, "Can you relate to that at all?"

"Yeah, of course," she continued, "I think that's probably why I don't usually stop and smell the roses like I probably should."

"Because it feels like once you've broken through, there's also another whole set of challenges that comes with that next level."

"And I think that, I choose to just embrace that."

Zendaya admitted she could probably work on, "stepping back and just being happy about things."

"And taking things in and enjoying the moments when they happen," she added.

"I can live in a stressful headspace and kind of live in the harder, rather than, well look at all the easier stuff."

"Look at how much easier this got, look at how much easier this got."

"But I'm just like, look at all this that [I'm still up against]."

"I'm still trying to navigate that myself. I think a huge part of that is having good people around you," Zendaya admitted.

"A good team, a good support system, good creative partners you know... that ground you, and help you make beautiful things."
