Seth Rogen talks James Franco

Seth Rogen said he has, 'no plans,' to work with James Franco right now.

It appears he's cut all ties with Franco following previous sexual misconduct allegations made against him.

The Neighbors actor was asked to comment on the accusations made against Franco in an interview with The Sunday Times.

As quoted by Variety, he responded, 'What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.'

That SNL joke

He also expressed regret over a joke he made on SNL in 2014, following an allegation made against Franco by a 17-year-old girl.

In his opening monologue, he said, "I decided to prank James Franco..."

"I posed as a girl on Instagram, told him I was way young. He seemed unfazed. I have a date to meet him at the Ace Hotel."

Rogen told The Times, 'I do look back at a joke I made on Saturday Night Live in 2014 and I very much regret making that joke.'

'It was a terrible joke, honestly,' he added.

At the time, Franco addressed the accusations made against him in an interview on LIVE with Kelly and Michael.

He said, "I’m embarrassed, and I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky."

"It’s a way people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end."

"I used bad judgement and I learned my lesson."

2018 allegations

Further allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Franco in 2018.

According to Variety, several students at his former acting school accused him of intimidating them into sexual situations.

In February, a settlement deal was reached in a 2019 lawsuit filed by two of his former students.

James Franco

Rogen said in past interviews that he would continue to work with Franco.

However, his feelings have since changed, and he said he has no plans to work with him right now.

He told The Times, 'I also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now.'

The actor added that this apparent end to their friendship and professional relationship is, 'no coincidence.'

On their friendship, Rogen said, 'I don’t know if I can define that right now during this interview.'

He continued, 'I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic.'

The Times commented that the situation, 'must have been painful,' for him.

To this, Rogen said, 'Yeah. But not as painful and difficult as it is for a lot of other people involved.'

'I have no pity for myself in this situation.'

No further comment has been made.
