Love Island's Michael might be suspended as a firefighter

Love Island's Michael fears he may be suspended from his old job as a firefighter.

The islander left the villa earlier this month but hasn't yet returned home to Liverpool.

According to the Daily Star, the former firefighter shared his worries in a now-deleted Instagram live video.

He allegedly told viewers, “I need to speak to work as right now as I feel like I will be suspended."

"The rest is a conversation that I need to have with my boss."

Michael had previously revealed plans to raise money for firefighters in an interview with This Morning.

“Right now I am grateful I even got the opportunity to do it and I still want to support the fire service."

"I want to do a fireman calendar and I want to donate a lot of the money to the firefighter charity."

Michael's Love Island journey

The former islander made quite the impression on the reality series this year.

He made his appearance at the very start of the show where he found himself coupled up with Yewande.

However, the pair soon realised that their relationship wouldn't go any further than a friendship.

It wasn't long before he began to graft Yewande's best friend Amber who was definitely reluctant at first.

Surprisingly Michael and Amber hit it off and re-coupled with one another.

They became one of the strongest couples in the villa and even helped their pal Yewande have her first villa kiss with Danny.

The breakup

It wasn't until the Casa Amor shock twist that their romance fell apart.

When Amber was sent to a rival villa to mingle with six new boys, he was left in the main villa with six new girls.

Amber's head never turned once. Michael however, fell for new girl Joanna.

She returned home to find he had chosen to dump her and re-couple with Joanna.

Amber was visibly distraught and couldn't understand why he would do this.

It all turned around when Joanna was axed from the show by her fellow islanders.

Michael made the decision to stay on the show without her and she was raging.

New boy Greg entered the villa and pursued a romance with Amber just as Michael realised he still had feelings for her.

However, it was too late as Amber had already fallen for the Limerick native.

Michael was later dumped from the villa following a public vote while Amber went on to win the show with Greg.
