Halsey has hit back at rumours that she and John Mayer are romantically involved.
Since her split from G-Eazy, fans have noticed the star getting quite close with Mayer on social media.
Taking to Twitter, Halsey wrote, "what if...we let female artists...have friends...without assuming that they are sleeping together?"

The rumours spread after the pairs interaction on social media this week.
Halsey shared a screenshot to her Instagram stories of herself and John on FaceTime captioned "7am carpool karaoke with John Mayer."
Mayer has also been commenting on Halsey's Instagram posts. On a photo of her YSL lipstick ad, Mayer commented "It's saying that my billing address doesn't match with the one of my credit card? I've never had this problem before. Can you text me? Thanks."
This comes after her split from G-Eazy last month. The pair had shared an on-again-off-again relationship for quite some time before calling it quits for good (we think) last night.
The singer has since released her song 'Without Me' which is about bad relationships. A G-Eazy lookalike also features in the music video.
