Olivia Rodrigo & Joshua Bassett

Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett from Disney's High School Musical series are at the centre of some major online speculation.

Here's everything you need to know to catch up on the drama:

Over the weekend, 17-year-old Olivia released her track Drivers License, which some think is about Joshua.

So basically, it was speculated (but never confirmed) that Joshua and Olivia were romantically involved.

It followed their portrayal of lovers Nini and Ricky in the High School Musical series.

However, it's since been speculated the pair have called it quits.

Fans became convinced of this when he started posting TikTok videos with fellow artist Sabrina Carpenter.

Now, Olivia has released Drivers License which is all about a failed relationship.

She sings, "'Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street."

"Guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me."

Joshua released a number of love songs last year.

Back to Olivia's Drivers License - in the track, she references a, "blonde," girl.

"And you're probably with that blonde girl/ Who always made me doubt/"

"She's so much older than me/ She's everything I'm insecure about," she sings.

Sabrina (the gal in Joshua's TikToks) is not only blonde, but she's also four years older than Olivia.

We're getting to end of it now, don't worry.

Shortly after Olivia teased the release of Drivers License, Joshua announced his new single Lie Lie Lie drops January 14th.

Interesting title indeed...

Drivers License success

Olivia and Joshua haven't commented on the speculation. Instead, she's been basking in the success of the song.

She joked on Twitter, 'can’t wait to tell my therapist that ppl like the song'

And her fans aren't the only ones showing the track some love, Taylor Swift is also a big fan.
